EWU Endured 2 Years In The Field In Sierra Leone
Not A Single Failure In Over 2 Years Of Field Experience
EWU demonstrated its effectiveness in a field trial in the jungles of Sierra Leone. EWU accomplished all of its objectives for the field trial. We attribute EWU's successful field trial to our rugged, made-in-america engineering and manufacturing.
Objectives:
- To improve the water safety of a village in a lesser developed nation
- To operate EWU continuously without a component failure
- To demonstrate EWU's long-term effectiveness in a harsh environment
Actions:
- Deployed an EWU in a remote village in Sierra Leone
- Trained villagers how to operate and maintain the EWU
- Supervised the application of EWU in the village
Field Trial Results:
- Purified drinking water for 4,000 villagers per day for over two years
- Reduced village-waterborne infections to zero
- Protected the villagers from a regional typhoid epidemic
- Operated for over two years without a single component failure (field trial still underway)
